HubSpot Help Center Module

# Help Center Pro

A HubSpot module that turns one page into a help center: a home page with search, categories of articles, articles with a table of contents, and a contact band for the questions left over. Every article and every word is edited in the page editor.

## See it working.

A short tour of the live demo: answers appearing under the search box as a question is typed, an article with its table of contents, a video opening over the page, and a search that finds nothing handing the question to a HubSpot form.

Features

## What this module does.

One module for a product help center, a shop’s questions, developer documentation or the answers a small business repeats every week. Every option below is an editable field in the HubSpot page editor.

01

### Answers found by typing

Results appear as a visitor types, from any view, grouped by category with the matching words marked. A word with one letter wrong still finds its article, and synonyms you write catch the words customers use. Cmd or Ctrl and K opens search anywhere on the page.

02

### Written from the page editor

Categories, articles, screenshots, videos and every word on screen are fields on the module. There is no HubDB table to set up and no blog to connect, and it runs on any HubSpot plan that can hold a page.

03

### Articles that are easy to follow

Breadcrumbs, a table of contents that marks the section in view, framed screenshots, numbered steps, callouts, code with a copy button and questions that open. Videos play in a pop-up over the page.

04

### A way to reach you

A Still need help? band sits under each view with your hours, contact cards and a HubSpot form. When a search finds nothing, the visitor’s words go into a form field you name, so the question arrives with the message.

05

### A link for every article

Every category, article and search has its own address to share, and each view is built on HubSpot’s servers, so it works with JavaScript off. Searches and Was this helpful? votes go to Google Tag Manager.

06

### Yours to style and translate

The home page can show category cards, rows, a sidebar or tabs, and an article can open on its own view, in a pop-up, in a side panel or in place. Fonts and the accent colour come from your theme settings, and every colour, size, radius and word is a field.

Screens

## Every view a visitor lands on.

A closer look

## How it behaves.

What a visitor does on the page, and what you do in the editor behind it.

01

### Search that answers while you type

The search box works from every view. Results come back grouped by category with the matching words marked, a word with one letter wrong still finds its article, and the synonyms you write — invoice = bill, receipt — catch the words customers use. Press the slash key or Cmd and K anywhere on the page, then walk the results with the arrow keys.

![A question typed into the help center search box with answers listed under it, grouped by category](https://www.studionope.com/hs-fs/hubfs/help-center-pro/hcp-feature-1-search.png?width=1600&height=854&name=hcp-feature-1-search.png)

02

### Everything is edited in the page editor

Each category and each article is a field on the module, next to the screenshots, the videos and every word a visitor reads. Nothing sits in a HubDB table, nothing waits on a blog, and the help center publishes the way the rest of your site does.

![The live category cards beside the module fields that produce them](https://www.studionope.com/hs-fs/hubfs/help-center-pro/hcp-feature-2-editor.png?width=1600&height=1180&name=hcp-feature-2-editor.png)

03

### Articles built for following along

A table of contents marks the section in view as the reader moves. Screenshots sit in a browser or phone frame, steps are numbered, callouts stand out, code carries a copy button, and side questions open in place. Videos play in a pop-up over the page, and the player loads only when someone presses play.

04

### The question you have no article for

Under every view sits a Still need help? band with your opening hours, contact cards and a HubSpot form, shown in the band, a pop-up or a side panel. When a search finds nothing, the words the visitor typed go into a form field you name, so the question reaches you with the message attached.

![A search with no results handing the visitor's words to the contact form below it](https://www.studionope.com/hs-fs/hubfs/help-center-pro/hcp-feature-4-no-results.png?width=1600&height=1409&name=hcp-feature-4-no-results.png)

05

### An address for every article

Categories, articles and searches each have their own address, so support can paste a link and a customer can bookmark one. Every view is built on HubSpot’s servers, so an article opens with JavaScript off. The articles share one page, so search engines index that page rather than an article at a time.

FAQ

## Common questions.

What does Help Center Pro do?

It turns one page of your HubSpot site into a help center. The page gives you a home view with search and category cards, a view for each category, a view for each article and a results view for each search. Categories, articles, screenshots, videos and every word on screen are fields in the page editor.

Do we need HubDB or a blog?

No. Everything lives inside the module. It reads no HubDB table, connects to no blog, and runs on any HubSpot plan that can hold a page.

How does the search work?

Results appear as the visitor types, from any view, grouped by category with the matching words marked. A word with one letter wrong still finds its article, and synonyms you write catch the words customers use. Cmd or Ctrl and K opens search anywhere on the page, and the arrow keys move through the results.

Will each article rank in Google as its own page?

No, and this is the trade for keeping everything in one module. Every article, category and search has its own address to link and share, and every view is built on HubSpot’s servers so it works with JavaScript off. The articles all live on one page, so search engines index that page rather than an article at a time.

What happens when the help center has no answer?

A Still need help? band sits under each view with your hours, contact cards and a HubSpot form, in the band, a pop-up or a side panel. When a search finds nothing, the visitor’s words go into a form field you name, so the question arrives with the message.

Can we see what people search for?

Yes. Searches and Was this helpful? votes go to Google Tag Manager’s data layer, and the searches that find nothing show you which articles to write next.

Can we restyle it and translate it?

Yes. Fonts and the accent colour come from your theme settings, and every colour, size, radius and word a visitor reads is a field on the module, so the help center can be restyled and translated in full.

How much does it cost?

It is a one-time purchase of $99.99 on the HubSpot Marketplace. That includes free updates and support.
